MSM–Ginger – nutrient mix for dog feeding

Chia de Gracia MSM–Ginger Powder is a nutrient mix for dog feeding.

The blend contains 85 % MSM powder and 15 % ginger plus a pinch of love 🧡.

MSM and ginger work together synergistically. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic sulphur compound. Sulphur is an element naturally present in the body, found in numerous tissues.

In the body, sulphur is a component of, among other things, amino acids as well as numerous protein structures. These are found, for example, in the skin, coat, hooves and connective tissues. Connective tissue structures include, among others, tendons, ligaments and cartilage, in which protein structure is formed from sulphur-containing amino acids.

Because the dog's tissues are continuously renewed, nutrients obtained from the diet form part of the normal building blocks of tissues.

MSM serves in the diet as a source of organic sulphur, used in both human and animal nutrition.

Ginger as a plant-based feed ingredient

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is an aromatic and potent plant whose root has been used as a food and spice for a long time around the world.

Ginger contains compounds naturally found in plants, such as gingerols and shogaols, which belong to the plant's natural phenolic compounds.

Herbs are often used as part of a varied diet to bring plant-based compounds and nutrients to the diet.

Sulphur as part of connective tissue structures

The dog's musculoskeletal system is made up of several tissue types, such as bone, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and muscles. The structure of these tissues is largely based on proteins, such as collagen, whose structure contains sulphur-containing amino acids.

Amino acids and other nutrients obtained from the diet are part of the body's normal metabolism and tissue renewal.

Background information and studies

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a compound containing organic sulphur, used in the diet as a source of organic sulphur. Sulphur is an important part of the structure of many biological molecules and is a component of, among other things, amino acids and connective tissue proteins.

In studies, MSM has been examined for example in relation to exercise-induced physiological changes in horses. In one study, MSM supplementation was found to alter exercise-related gene response expression in muscle tissue after exercise.

In animal studies on ginger, the effects of its compounds on post-exercise physiological responses have been examined. In one study, ginger extract shortened the oxygen consumption recovery time after exercise in horses.

Studies are used to understand the product's background information and the known composition of the plants.
