"The booklet illustrates such toys in a way which, it is hoped, will stimulate newcomers to the craft to undertake some of the examples.  The more experienced worker will, I am sure, use the suggestions as a basis for developing his own ideas.
Most of the illustrations relate to toys that can be made from small pieces of scrap wood, but I have felt it worth while to include a few bigger projects, such as the Rocking Horse (page 40) and the Doll's House (page 46).  I know that many workers will be prepared to devote the necessary time to the construction of the larger toy which will delight a growing family for many years."
